What to expect when booking Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy at Cooee Speech Pathology.

 

At Cooee Speech Pathology our core purpose is to give every child the best possible social and academic start to life so they can participate fully, learn well and follow their dreams with confidence.

 

When contacting our client care team to book for speech pathology and occupational therapy services, our friendly client care team endeavours to make the process as easy as possible.

When taking the first step to contact Cooee Speech Pathology there are a variety of platforms available to make an enquiry.  Our helpful client care team is available via phone, email, contact form and drift chat to assist with all of your needs and enquiries, and walk you through the booking process.  

 

Taking the first step

 

Our lovely and helpful client care team will attempt to find the best fit for your child’s  speech pathology or occupational therapy needs by: 

 

  • Finding the appropriate assessment tailored to your child’s needs
  • Finding an assessment and ongoing time in our therapist’s schedules based on your preferred days and times
  • Providing you with the necessary online paperwork 
  • Sending reminder messages to your phone for all appointments.

Do we need a referral?

To make the booking process even easier, Cooee Speech Pathology does not require a referral.  We do accept private health, Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Plans and NDIS funded families.  You can find more information about each of these funding options by clicking on the links above. 

What about NDIS?

For our NDIS families we also offer a complimentary service agreement meeting with either our director, practice manager or one of our therapists.  This meeting will help us to complete a case history, gather information to assist your therapists and establish a schedule of supports for your child.  Once the booking process has been completed we will take care of the rest and your therapy can begin!

What happens when we come to the clinic?

At your first visit to Cooee you will be greeted by our friendly client care team, get settled in our large welcome room and meet your speech pathologist or occupational therapist. 

You will complete a case history with your therapist so that they can obtain a clear picture of your child’s needs and past therapy history, and commence assessment. 

Once your assessment process has been completed, you will receive an assessment report and management plan in approximately 3-4 weeks and your family will be provided with a detailed plan for therapy with goals to work towards and regular communication.  A member of our friendly client care team will also contact you to check in on your child’s progress and your experience with Cooee.
