Name: Emily Barnett
Where did you study?
University of Queensland. Bachelor of Speech Pathology Honours.
Why did you get into paediatric speech pathology?
I have wanted to work in paediatrics since my first university placement. Every child has their own personality, and I love hearing the stories about their day or taking part in their play. I also enjoy getting to know their families and finding meaningful goals that can make the most difference in their lives at home or at school.
Why do you love your job?
I love watching my clients grow, and helping children work towards goals that are important to them and their families. I love helping children become more confident in engaging with people and the world around them.
