Meg McDade

Name: Meg McDade

Speech Pathologist

Three Things About Me:I love being outdoors, I’ve run two marathons, and I have a very cheeky cat.

Additional Training:  In 2015 I attended a Interdisciplinary Feeding Workshop at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital. In 2017 I completed training in The SOS Approach to Feeding which is a program for assessing and treating children with feeding difficulties. I have also completed Basic Auslan Training in 2015.  I am currently completing the Greenspan DIR Floortime Online Training, which develops communication and early social skills in children with developmental delays. I am also a member of Speech Pathology Australia.

Why I love my job: I love working with children and families to improve their skills and help children to reach their full potential.  Communication is such an important part of lives, and I love being able to support my clients to communicate to the best of their ability. There is no better feeling than watching a child’s confidence improve while they are working on their communication skills. Getting to know families as they are on their therapy journey is so rewarding and I really enjoy being a part of it.

Favourite toy to use in therapy:I love using farm animal toys and cars!
